Just use the same approach on all the controls!

Orienteering in tricky terrain is _hard_, there is no substitute for a lot of practice. (Night-O can be a way to make simpler terrains more difficult.)Terjehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14019573199542513856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4968085316200546890.post-12261149140052099072015-04-14T08:48:39.952-04:002015-04-14T08:48:39.952-04:00Thanks, Helen, that's good advice, and appreci...Thanks, Helen, that's good advice, and appreciated. I've been working down that avenue the last year, and definitely need to get that routine to become habit again! Write a step by step routine for what you are doing when you do your best orienteering. Then train this routine and all the steps of your routine until it is automatic. Once you have your routine you will see that every mistake comes from not doing your established routine. This simplifies post race and post training analysis. You can then analyse in a binary way & use positive reinforcement to make your own 'good' routines stronger & stronger over time. Orienteering is very simple when we make it simple! Good luck! Will be fun to follow your progress! You are a very strong athlete!HeleneSuzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15474565169047812985noreply@blogger.com
