CSU Specific Strength

The man with the plan.

Ed is designing rollerskis, and had a bunch of wheels to test out. I think he really needs to go with the sparkly ones.

Sparkly ones look like super-fast polyurethane. Just sayin.

I can't stand up on skis and use no form of conveyance that does not have functioning mechanical brakes. I thus have no right to comment on ski design, but I am of Portuguese extraction. The sparkles are a must. Simply no other reasonable option exists.

The sparkly wheels are actually pretty soft durometer - they will wear out faster, but they are waaaay slower than the super hard fast polyurethane wheels. Trust me, Ed has been going crazy with wheel decisions, trying to find something slow enough...

And the skis he is designing will definitely have speed reducers. No plan for a brake yet, until he can come up with a better design than that crappy V2 design.

Crazyness. Just use the cheap ones from eastern europe that everyone else does.

But they're not sparkly!

There's a safety issue to be considered here though. If I'm ever skiing behind someone, and they have sparkly wheels, I'll just look at their wheels the whole time, not pay attention to where I'm going or what I'm doing, and probably crash into something and die. You wouldn't want to be responsible for that, now would you?
